How to start a run

  1. Find the Spirit Guide. The new NPC stands by the flowerbed in the lobby. The quest tracker reads “NEW QUEST – Talk to the Spirit Guide”.
  2. Talk to it and pick Start an Expedition. The other options are “How does it work?” and “Leave”.
  3. Open the PLAY tab of the Spirit Expedition window. The other tabs are REWARDS, PETS and BUNDLES.
  4. Pick a difficulty card and press SELECT.
  5. Party up (optional). Press PARTY 1/4 to invite players who are on the same server, or just play solo.
  6. Press START (the button names the difficulty, for example “START ADVENTURER”).

Leaving early: a LEAVE RUN button sits at the bottom of the window. MK says you can quit at any stage and still keep the Expedition Points you earned (MK at 1:02).

Okami

  • When: the update log says you face Okami every 10 stages. ItzMythz also says a boss shows up every 10 stages and gives the most points (2:13).
  • Drops: the log says class items for all five new classes can come straight from Okami. The other way to get them is with Expedition Points.
  • Okami Cub: an in-game note calls it “a rare boss reward”. It is a companion; see Companion slots below, and the pets guide for its stats at Bond 5.

Taming steps, every pet’s bonuses, Bond, Spirit Prisms and Pet Essence are covered in the pets guide.
