What you get: Valen’s exact island location and the Azure Devil → Awakened Devil EX turn-in path.

Valen is the Awakened Devil EX quest NPC. He is not in the main lobby crowd.

Vergil NPC = Valen (H1 alias). Players and search queries for “Vergil NPC” / “where is Vergil” / “Vergil Dungeon Lootr” point at this same island NPC. Valen is not a second character next to Vergil — one NPC, two search names. H1 keeps both labels so Vergil searches land here. There is no separate /guides/where-is-vergil URL on purpose (and no extra path images yet).

Quick answer

  1. From spawn / AFK-boat side of the hub, cross the water to the neighboring island.
  2. Climb toward the house on the hill (cream building, red-and-white awnings).
  3. Valen stands at the door with [E] Talk.
  4. Wear Azure Devil, push class mastery to 50, then use Valen for the coin milestone and later Judgement’s Edge turn-in (Devil Heart + coins) → Awakened Devil EX.

Azure Devil → Awakened Devil EX (Awakened Vergil path)

Players searching Awakened Vergil mean the Awakened Devil EX evolve — the Valen/Vergil NPC turn-in below. Same path; no second evolve NPC.

Step What to do
1 Own / equip Azure Devil
2 Raise Azure Devil class mastery to Level 50
3 Talk to Valen → claim the Level-50 coin milestone when offered
4 Farm Devil Heart (Frostspire Bastion Nightmare — Awakened Devil encounter)
5 Return to Valen → Judgement’s Edge option → spend Azure Devil + Devil Heart + 1,000,000 Coins
6 Receive Awakened Devil EX (+ Judgement’s Edge weapon on turn-in)

Devil Heart drop rate is Unknown — farm until the item lands; the percentage is not confirmed yet.

Do not confuse

  • Vergil NPC searches = Valen (same NPC). Do not look for a second Vergil on another island.
  • Awakened Vergil searches = Awakened Devil EX via this Valen turn-in — not a separate guide URL.
  • Jetstream / boat NPCs on the water are not Valen.
  • Main-lobby vendor row is the wrong crowd — Valen is across the water.

FAQ

Is the Vergil NPC the same as Valen?
Yes. Valen is the Vergil NPC. One island house NPC; two search names. This page is the location guide for both queries.

Where is Vergil in Dungeon Lootr?
Same route as Valen: from spawn / AFK-boat side, cross the water to the neighboring island, climb to the house on the hill, talk at the door ([E] Talk). No separate Vergil spawn.

How do you get Awakened Vergil / Awakened Devil EX?
Equip Azure Devil, push mastery to 50, farm Devil Heart (Frostspire Bastion Nightmare), return to Valen for the Judgement’s Edge turn-in (Devil Heart + 1,000,000 Coins) → Awakened Devil EX. Devil Heart drop % stays Unknown.

Why does the title say Vergil NPC?
Players call Valen “Vergil.” Same house-on-the-hill NPC; the H1 aliases both search names so you do not hunt a second spawn.

Will you add a /guides/where-is-vergil page?
No — on purpose. Search intent is the same entity; splitting URLs would duplicate thin pages. Use this guide.

Still unknown

  • Devil Heart drop % on Frostspire Bastion Nightmare — Unknown; farm until the item lands.
  • Whether Valen offers other non-Devil dialogues this patch — confirm live.
