How to get Shrine Fox

  1. Play Spirit Expedition runs to earn Expedition Points. Points from a run carry over to the main game.
  2. Talk to the Spirit Guide in the lobby and open the REWARDS tab.
  3. Find Shrine Fox – Foxfire Charm and buy it for 1100 Expedition Points. The card also has a Use selector button.

The update log lists a second route: class items can drop straight from Okami, the boss that shows up every 10 stages.

Skills

The four hotbar slots, in order: Foxfire Volley (1), Spirit Step (2), Ninefold Blaze (3), Shrine of Tails (4).

Skill Tag Multiplier What it does (paraphrased from the Skill Info panel)
Foxfire Volley – x12.4 Summons three foxfire orbs that circle you, then home in on nearby enemies and burst for 4.1x each. You can walk slowly while casting. Each orb that lands takes 1.5s off Spirit Step’s recharge.
Spirit Step Dodge x5.0 A forward dash behind a dodge frame that damages everything along the path and bursts for 5.0x where you land. It leaves a foxfire totem at your starting spot that zaps the nearest enemy every second for 1.2x over 10s. Two linked totems deal 15% more and three deal 20% more; totems near your shrine splash their zaps. Stores up to 3 charges.
Ninefold Blaze – x20.2 Plants you in place and drops foxfire on a wide area ahead: three hits of 2.25x, plus two extra hits for each totem near you, up to nine hits in total.
Shrine of Tails Dodge x17.0 Glides toward your aim behind a dodge frame and marks every enemy you pass. A shrine then lands, drags in marked enemies within range for 2.0x and sends out five foxfire waves of 3.0x each. While you stay near the shrine you deal 20% more damage and Spirit Step recharges 20% faster.

Role

  • Totem setup, then payoff. Spirit Step drops totems, and Ninefold Blaze and the Spirit Step bonus both scale with totems nearby. Shrine of Tails pulls marked enemies into one spot.
  • Mobile. Two of the four skills are dashes with a dodge frame, and Spirit Step stores 3 charges.
  • MK points out the damage-over-time effect on the dash move and notes the class has no Ultimate (MK at 2:55).
